Andre 3000’s family has sent Toronto Humane Society an update three years after adopting him. Their message describes a playful, affectionate senior cat who settled in with their cat, Ivy, after a long shelter stay.
He was known there as Armani. According to his adopters, he and his sister China spent almost a year at the shelter while their previous owner was in hospital. He was not reclaimed and later became available for adoption.
The family describes him as a large, gentle, long-haired cat. He had undergone extensive dental surgery shortly before they brought him home. Staff explained his age, treatment history and dental needs before they decided to adopt him. The family says they researched those needs before making their choice.
Once home, he soon bonded with Ivy and received his new name. Ivy is a different cat from China, whose later whereabouts the update does not describe.
In the three-year update, his adopters say he remains energetic at play and affectionate with them. They sent their thanks to the shelter staff, surgical team and volunteers who had cared for him.
