Chompie, a cat missing since June, is back with his owner after a nurse at Bolton Hospice helped identify him through social media. The hospice reported the reunion on 10 September.

He had been making repeated visits to the building, appearing at its entrance and windows and finding his way inside. Staff eventually discovered him asleep in the family lounge. Apparently he had completed his assessment of the facilities.

According to the hospice’s account of Chompie’s reunion, a nurse established that he had been missing, contacted his owner and brought the pair back together.
