Diamond, Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary’s longest-staying cat, has found a home. The charity’s September adoption update, published on 6 October, confirms she has joined a family who understand her needs.
She arrived at the sanctuary in May and needed several weeks to settle. Staff describe a sensitive cat who could become fearful around people. They gave her an individual care plan, a predictable routine and space when she did not want company.
The sanctuary reports that she became happier. A suitable application followed, then a conversation with the prospective adopters and a meeting. Diamond’s wait ended with an adoption.
Diamond was one of 44 cats and kittens the sanctuary says were adopted in September.
