A cat stuck in a tree above water in Reading was safely rescued and reunited with its owner on Thursday, 1 October.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 9:50pm from Kennet Side. A crew from Wokingham Road attended, joined by Caversham Road’s Animal and Water Rescue Unit.
The tree overhung the water, giving the firefighters rather more to consider than a straightforward climb. The service says crews brought the cat to safety and returned it to its owner, spending around 27 minutes at the scene.
