A kitten called Suki is back to the serious work of being tiny after firefighters freed her from a home entertainment cabinet in Camarillo, California.
Suki had joined her family only a few weeks earlier. On Sunday morning, she crawled into an opening in the cabinet and became trapped by her neck, according to a 17 September report by the Los Angeles Times.
Ventura County Fire Department’s Engine 50 removed the audio and video equipment, lowered the cabinet and carefully broke away part of it. Suki was freed without injury.
The rescue was filmed by her owner and shared by the fire department. It then travelled rather further than Suki had managed, collecting millions of views online.
