Firefighters safely released a cat trapped between a window pane and window bars in Woodley on 10 September, according to Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The service says it received the report at 9.50am and sent one crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station to Crockhamwell Road. On arrival, firefighters found the cat wedged in the distinctly unhelpful gap.
They used tools to free the cat safely and remained at the scene for around 30 minutes. It was a short incident by fire-service standards. Presumably less so from inside the window.
