We’ve had the Feandrea PPT001B01 covered litterbox for roughly two years. Goldfish uses the top entrance, like she’s in a spy movie. This seems an unnecessarily dramatic way to go to the toilet, but she has her methods.
The less cinematic verdict: it gives her privacy, seems to contain odours well in our bathroom and is easy to clean. It is also large. Have an actual place for it, rather than an optimistic idea of one.
Our verdict after two years
We’re happy with it for our particular setup. Our oddly shaped bathroom gives us somewhere to put it out of the way, with a private spot for Goldfish. That awkward bit of floor has finally found employment.
The size is the main qualification. If you have room for the box, room for your cat to get in and room for you to clean it, it is worth considering. If the fit is already looking ambitious, measure before ordering.
- What works for us: privacy, apparently good odour containment and straightforward cleaning.
- The trade-off: a substantial footprint, with extra access space needed around it.
- What this review cannot tell you: whether your cat will like an enclosed tray, or whether it controls smells better than another box in the same conditions.

This is the PPT001B01, the grey covered box with a top opening and slide-out tray. The Amazon listing calls the colour “Silent Gray + Slate Gray”. We matched the model and selected variant to our original purchase listing before publishing.

Privacy and placement
The covered design works well for Goldfish where we have it. We find it gives her privacy without putting the litterbox in the way of everything else. The bathroom’s shape does quite a lot of the work here; this is a good fit for our home, rather than proof that every bathroom needs one.
Use the outside dimensions to check the footprint, but don’t stop there. You also need access to the tray for cleaning. If your cat uses the top opening, leave that route clear too. We haven’t measured a universal clearance to recommend.
Goldfish takes the roof
Goldfish enters through the top. She appears to regard the ordinary business of using a litterbox as something that requires an infiltration route.
That is her approach to this box. We wouldn’t choose a top entrance just because she uses it, or assume another cat would be comfortable doing the same. The listing also describes a configurable front door; our observations here concern Goldfish’s top entrance, not a test of every door arrangement.

Does it contain smells?
It seems to contain odours well in our setup. That is a household impression, not a measured reduction. The litter, cleaning routine and bathroom all affect what we notice, so we can’t give the box sole credit.

Is it easy to clean?
We find it easy to clean in everyday use. The listing describes a slide-out tray and includes a scoop and brush. We haven’t timed cleaning, documented every disassembly step or compared it against several other boxes, so “easy” is our experience rather than a league-table position.
Before buying, think about where you would stand or crouch to clean it and whether the tray has room to come out. A box that fits neatly into a gap can still make you regret the gap.
Would we recommend it?
For someone considering a covered litterbox with enough space for this model, yes—with the size caveat firmly attached. After roughly two years, the things we value are fairly ordinary: it suits Goldfish, gives her privacy and is manageable to clean. Those are useful reasons to keep a litterbox.
We would be less confident recommending it where space is tight or where you don’t yet know whether your cat accepts a covered tray. Our positive experience is with one cat and one home. Goldfish has opinions, but she has not conducted a survey.
