Who should buy Sanicat Cotton Fresh?
For a cat already comfortable with scented mineral clumping litter, it is a reasonable repeat purchase. If fragrance is the issue, choose an unscented litter instead.
Which Sanicat litter is this?
This is Clumping White Cotton Fresh, 10L, matched to our original purchase listing. The retailer also uses “ultra clumping” wording. It is not Rose Petal, fragrance-free or non-clumping Sanicat. Sanicat’s product page identifies white bentonite and Cotton Fresh fragrance.
What it is like in Goldfish’s setup
It works well for us, without inspiring particularly strong feelings either way. We use it in a covered FEANDREA box; our two-year litterbox review covers that setup. I am more opinionated about the box than the litter.

The retailer feedback we reviewed on 7 September 2026 was mixed on clumping, dust and tracking. Is Cotton Fresh scent a benefit?

Using and disposing of it
Sanicat specifies an approximately 5cm layer, regular waste removal and topping up. Replace spent litter and wash the tray with warm water and soap. Never flush it down the toilet. Follow your pack and local waste guidance. Scent does not replace scooping; our tray cleaning guide sets out the separate jobs.
Does it offer good value?
The lowest offer shown on our 17 October 2026 check was £16.89 for 10L, from DelaraTrading, with free delivery shown to our account. That seller showed 68% positive feedback from 175 ratings: the lowest price is not a seller recommendation. Use this as a dated comparison point; your delivered total may differ.

And the sustainability claim?
Bentonite is a mineral material; “natural” does not establish a lower environmental impact. Use a litter your cat accepts, avoid speculative bulk purchases and track waste before declaring a saving. Our final verdict: useful, fairly undramatic litter for an established setup. If Cotton Fresh already suits your cat, compare the matching offers and reorder at a sensible delivered price. If you are starting from scratch, choose familiar or unscented litter first.
